SVGLane Privacy Policy
How SVGLane collects, uses, and protects personal and usage data.
Last updated: 2026-07-02
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how SVGLane collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, workspace, editor, billing flows, AI-assisted features, and related services.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use SVGLane, we may collect:
-
Account information Information such as your name, email address, avatar, login identifiers, and authentication metadata.
-
Workspace and usage information Information about how you interact with the product, such as selected features, plan-gated actions, editor activity, AI task requests, optimization actions, export requests, and general product usage patterns.
-
Content you choose to process SVG files, text prompts, configuration values, and related content that you intentionally upload, edit, export, or send to enabled providers through the service.
-
Device and technical data Browser type, device type, operating system, approximate diagnostic information, and other telemetry needed for compatibility, security, and debugging.
-
Billing and transaction data Payment status, provider transaction references, subscription state, invoice events, and entitlement updates. We do not store complete bank card details on our servers.
-
Cookies and local storage We use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies in two categories:
- Essential storage for sign-in, security, and local workspace continuity.
- Optional technologies for analytics, ads, customer chat, and sign-in prompts such as Google One Tap, which load only after consent where required.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and secure SVGLane;
- authenticate users and manage account access;
- process billing, subscriptions, credits, and purchases;
- deliver editor, preview, optimization, export, and AI-assisted features;
- troubleshoot errors, improve product quality, and measure performance;
- respond to support requests and service communications;
- detect fraud, abuse, misuse, and security incidents;
- comply with legal obligations.
4. AI and Provider Processing
When you explicitly use AI-assisted features, relevant prompts and selected content may be sent to the configured AI provider needed to fulfill that request.
For AI generation, prompts may also be sent to a third-party moderation provider before they are sent to the generation model.
Workspace AI requests may also be subject to login requirements, abuse prevention, queueing, token accounting, and credit enforcement so the service remains stable and fair for all users.
When you use storage, payment, email, or other external integrations, the minimum information needed to complete that function may be sent to the corresponding provider.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
- with service providers and infrastructure partners acting on our behalf;
- with payment providers to process purchases and subscription events;
- with AI, storage, email, or analytics providers when those features are used;
- when required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request;
- to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of the service;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain legitimate business records.
Retention periods may vary depending on account status, billing requirements, security needs, and whether content is stored locally, in product infrastructure, or with an external provider.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including measures such as encrypted transport, access controls, and operational review processes.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict certain personal information.
You may also be able to:
- update account information through the product;
- accept or decline optional cookies through our consent banner when shown;
- manage cookies or browser storage through browser settings;
- discontinue use of AI-assisted features;
- contact us regarding deletion or access requests.
If you want us to delete account-linked personal data that we control, please contact us through the support or contact method shown on the website or inside the product. We may retain information that is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or billing records.
9. Cookies, Consent, and Similar Technologies
Essential storage is always active because it is required for authentication, fraud prevention, and workspace continuity.
Optional technologies such as analytics scripts, advertising scripts, customer-support widgets, and sign-in prompts are loaded only after consent where required by applicable law. You can later withdraw that consent by clearing the stored preference in your browser or disabling those technologies in browser settings.
10. International Processing
Your information may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own, including where our providers or infrastructure operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border processing.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify users through the website or product.
12. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your personal information, please contact us at support@svglane.com. We aim to respond to support requests within 3 business days.
